One of the chief themes that arises in Peter Jackson’s film The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is that of purpose. The same can be said of the life of Jesus. When we search the Scriptures, we see that Jesus came “to seek and to save the lost.” The question becomes, then, what is our purpose in light of what Jesus has done? In this talk, we explore the awesome purpose for which we were made.
