As a spiritual “father” to the Colossians, Paul wanted nothing more than to see those believers come to maturity in Christ. Rather than finding this in some deeper “mystery” or knowledge, Paul maintains that spiritual maturity is found in knowing Christ, “in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”
